Yuri BenderEditor-in-Chief
Yuri Bender is a financial journalist specialising in international asset management issues. He joined the FT group in 1992, launched FT Mandate in 1999, Professional Wealth Management in 2001 and is editor-in-chief of both titles.
He has worked previously for Offshore Financial Review, The International magazine for expatriates and UK personal finance monthly Moneywise. He has contributed articles on fund management for newspapers including the Financial Times, The European, Sunday Times and The Independent. Yuri studied Investment Management at the London Business School.
Henry SmithEditor
Henry Smith has worked for a number of publications at the FT Group over the last 10 years. He started as a staff writer on Offshore Financial Review in 1997 while contributing also to the FT Fraud Report. He subsequently took up the post as features editor on FT Mandate prior to its launch in 1999. He was appointed editor of the title in 2002."
Peter GuestTransaction Services
Pete is transaction services writer for FT Mandate where he covers investment operations and technology. He joined from the short-lived Screen Markets in 2007 and has written for titles including FTfm, Guardian Unlimited and Waters magazine. He won the investor services and technology category at the 2007 State Street media awards. Pete graduated from Imperial College, London with a degree in physics.
Martin StewardAlternative Investments
Martin joined FTMandate in March 2007 and covers alternative investments and institutional portfolio construction issues. He was Editor at the institutional investment database and intelligence provider MandateWire from December 2005, and before that he was European Associate Editor for MARHedge, the specialist hedge funds title at Metal Bulletin. He holds a PhD in English literature from University College London.
Nat MankelowCapital Markets Editor
Nat joined FTMandate in February 2007 and covers the capital markets. He was Editor at Bfinance, the European institutional investor consultant, for 4 years, and has also edited asset finance titles Leasing Life, and Factorscan. He has written for a number of business titles, including FTfm, the Financial Times, and Finance Week. Nat graduated from Birmingham University with a degree in Economics & Politics. He began his career at PwC as a corporate writer.
