JPMorgan FundsHub names new CEO

JPMorgan FundsHub has hired Simon Rigden as the new chief executive officer.

Mr Rigden joins from Lawson Software, where he was responsible for developing and managing all of Lawson’s business operations.

He replaces Mark Lund whose departure to St James’s Place Capital as chief executive designate was announced in July.

Putnam hires Arnold for equities role

Heather Arnold has been appointed senior vice-president, director of European equities in the international equities group at Putnam Investments.

She joins Putnam from Alternum Capital of Toronto where she was a founding partner and portfolio manager of the Global Health Sciences Hedge Fund. Previously, Ms Arnold worked for Franklin Templeton as a senior vice-president and portfolio manager in global and international equities.

Fitzpatrick fills CEO position at Trema

Trema, a provider of financial services software, has appointed Michële Fitzpatrick as its new chief executive officer.

Ms Fitzpatrick has worked in the IT sector for more than 20 years with companies such as Oracle, Network Associates and Lotus.

Hermes takes on Ward as director

Justin Ward has been hired as director at Hermes Private Equity (HPE). He joins HPE from CVC where he spent seven years, most recently as an investment director, working on a range of mid-market and large UK and European buyouts.

Prior to that, he worked as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen in London and Paris focusing on tax and corporate finance.

Charlton to head Absolute board

Eddie Charlton has been appointed as director of the board of the Absolute Fund which is run by Absolute Fund Management.

Mr Charlton, who holds a number of other directorships, joins from Banque Internationale a Luxembourg in London, where he spent 14 years as managing director and chief executive officer. He was also a director of Banque Paribas in London for eight years.

Dinham graduates to Investment Solutions

Investment Solutions, the South Africa-based multi-manager has appointed Richard Dinham as senior investment manager.

Mr Dinham who was previously a vice-president in product management and investment consulting at JPMorgan, will focus on developing new business in the UK pensions market.

Prior to joining JPMorgan in 2001, Richard was an investment consultant with Mercer.

Saunders appointed advisor at EPIC

Alan Saunders has been appointed by City of London-based EPIC Investment Consulting to its panel advising the boards of pension scheme trustees.

He is currently working with Allenbridge Group, an investment consultancy focusing on wealth management and hedge funds.

His asset management experience includes spells as investment director at Lazard Brothers and as a managing director of UBS Private Banking.

Henderson makes Stein client director

Henderson Global Investors has appointed Gabi Stein as client director. She will specialise in marketing property as a key asset in pension and insurance funds to UK institutional and third party advised clients.

Ms Stein will join Henderson early in 2004 and will report to Dr Arno Kitts, who is director of institutional marketing.

She was previously an associate director in the European client services team at LaSalle Investment Management, where she was responsible for the marketing of global products to institutions in Ireland and Switzerland.
